Retractions & Withdrawal

Retractions and Withdrawal of Manuscript

Teacher Education and Learning Journal (TELJ)

TELJ is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record and ensuring that all published works comply with accepted standards of publication ethics.

Retraction Policy

Published articles may be retracted when there is clear evidence that the findings are unreliable due to misconduct or serious error.

Grounds for Retraction include:

  • Data fabrication or falsification
  • Plagiarism or duplicate publication
  • Copyright infringement
  • Unethical research practices
  • Manipulated authorship
  • Redundant publication
  • Serious methodological or analytical errors
  • Violation of TELJ publication ethics

Retraction procedures follow recognized publication ethics standards, including the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Investigation Process

  • Editorial review of suspected ethical concerns
  • Request for clarification from authors
  • Verification of supporting documents and raw data
  • Assessment of ethical approvals and research records
  • Final editorial determination

If retraction is confirmed, the article will remain in the journal archive but will be clearly marked as RETRACTED.

A formal retraction notice will be published to ensure transparency and maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Withdrawal of Manuscripts

Authors may not withdraw manuscripts without strong and acceptable reasons. Submission to TELJ indicates that the manuscript is not simultaneously under consideration elsewhere.

Withdrawal due to acceptance by another journal is considered a serious breach of publication ethics.

Withdrawal requests must include:

  • Manuscript title
  • Manuscript ID
  • Clear reason for withdrawal
  • Written approval from all listed authors

A manuscript is considered withdrawn only after official written confirmation is issued by the editorial office.

Withdrawal Penalty

Stage Penalty
During Editorial Screening or Peer Review IDR 1,500,000
After Acceptance, Copyediting, Production, or Scheduling IDR 3,000,000

Withdrawal is finalized only after the applicable penalty has been fully settled and official confirmation has been issued.

Consequences of Unethical Withdrawal

  • Temporary restriction from future submissions
  • Recording of publication ethics violations
  • Notification to the author's institution when necessary
  • Administrative sanctions determined by the editorial board

Published Articles

Articles that have already been formally published cannot be withdrawn by authors.

Published articles may only be:

  • Corrected
  • Marked with an Expression of Concern
  • Retracted

Such actions will be carried out in accordance with TELJ publication ethics policies.
