Author Guidelines

Teacher Education and Learning Journal (TELJ)

Carefully read the following submission guidelines before preparing and submitting your manuscript to TELJ.

A. General Requirements

  1. Manuscripts must be written in clear and academic English.
  2. Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
  3. Use the official TELJ template according to the article type.
  4. Word limits:
    • Original Research Article: 6,000–10,000 words
    • Review Article: 5,000–8,000 words
    • Short Communication: 3,000–5,000 words
  5. Abstract must contain 250–300 words and 3–5 keywords.
  6. Use Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote.
  7. References must follow APA 7th Edition.
  8. Minimum references:
    • Research Article: ≥ 30 references
    • Short Communication: ≥ 30 references
    • Review Article: > 50 references
  9. At least 80% of references should come from reputable scholarly sources.
  10. English proofreading is strongly recommended.
  11. Maximum similarity score: 20%.
  12. Authors are responsible for data, citations, figures, tables, and references.

B. Structure of the Manuscript

Mandatory Elements

  • Title
  • Author Names and Affiliations
  • Abstract (250–300 words)
  • Keywords (3–5 keywords)
  • Main Sections
  • References
  • Appendix (optional)

Original Research Article

Introduction → Methods → Results and Discussion → Conclusion → Acknowledgment → Declarations → References → Appendix (optional)

Review Article

Introduction → Review Method/Literature Review → Findings → Discussion → Conclusion and Future Direction → Acknowledgment → Declarations → References → Appendix (optional)

Short Communication

Introduction → Methods → Results and Discussion → Conclusion → Acknowledgment → Declarations → References → Appendix (optional)

Section Descriptions

  • Introduction: background, research gap, novelty, urgency, and objective.
  • Methods: research design, participants, instruments, procedures, analysis, ethics.
  • Results & Discussion: findings, interpretation, theory linkage, implications.
  • Conclusion: contributions, implications, limitations, future directions.
  • Acknowledgment: funding and contributions.
  • Declarations: author contribution, funding, conflict of interest, ethics approval, data availability.

C. Guideline for Online Submission

Authors must submit manuscripts through the TELJ Online Submission System.

Step 1
Starting the Submission
Select article type and complete the submission checklist.
Step 2
Upload Manuscript
Upload the manuscript in Microsoft Word format.
Step 3
Enter Metadata
Fill title, abstract, keywords, authors, and affiliations.
Step 4
Upload Supplementary Files
Cover letter, similarity report, ethics approval, etc.
Step 5
Confirm Submission
Review all information and complete the submission.
